The Chairwoman of WeLead with female entrepreneurs in the agricultural production and import-export sector attended the AANZFTA Business Forum held in Vientiane, Laos, September 20-22, 2024

From September 20-22, 2024, the Chairwoman of WeLead, along with female entrepreneurs in the agricultural production and import-export sector, attended the ASEAN-Australia-New Zealand Free Trade Agreement (AANZFTA) Business Forum held in Vientiane, Laos. The Chairwoman of WeLead had the honor of being one of two private sector speakers to address the forum.

In her speech, Ms. Minh emphasized the efforts of both the Vietnamese government and the private sector in meeting the standards of Free Trade Agreements (FTAs). She also highlighted the benefits that the AANZFTA has brought to the bloc as a whole and to Vietnamese businesses in particular. Ms. Minh pointed out several challenges for Vietnamese enterprises, such as non-tariff barriers, technical barriers, customs clearance issues, and logistics difficulties. She urged the governments to actively collaborate in reducing non-tariff barriers, eliminating technical obstacles impeding trade between countries, simplifying customs procedures, and promoting digital transformation and modernization of logistics systems to facilitate trade within the bloc.

Ms. Minh asserted that trade cooperation not only brings economic benefits but also strengthens cultural exchange and fosters long-lasting, sustainable partnerships among nations. She expressed confidence that, with strong determination and joint efforts, a new chapter of economic cooperation for inclusive and sustainable development will be opened in the future.
