On the afternoon of June 18, 2025, at the headquarters of Sao Thai Duong Joint Stock Company (Hanoi), the Network of trailblazing Women Leaders WELEAD (WeLead) successfully organized the specialized training course “International Communication: Diplomatic Protocol and Negotiation.” The course attracted nearly 60 women business leaders working in international trade and female entrepreneurs preparing to attend the Global Summit of Women (GSW) taking place from July 3–5, 2025 in Berlin, Germany.
The session was led by Ambassador Nguyen Phuong Nga, former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and former Head of the Permanent Mission of Vietnam to the United Nations. Drawing on her extensive experience at international negotiation tables, the speaker delivered profound and practical insights into the principles of communication, cross-cultural diplomatic protocol, and the art of negotiation — covering strategies, tactics, and effective preparation, negotiation, and bargaining steps in a global cooperation context.
Through lectures, case discussions, and group exercises, participants:
-
Gained updated knowledge on international protocol and professional communication styles;
-
Practiced and improved skills in listening, empathy, cultural understanding, and respect for diversity in multinational settings;
-
Developed strategic thinking and enhanced negotiation skills in both bilateral and multilateral contexts in the era of global integration.
The course not only provided practical tools for effective negotiation, but also broadened the vision and strengthened the international presence of women leaders — those who are steadily affirming their positions on the global stage. Moreover, it contributed to enhancing Vietnam’s national image through business culture and entrepreneurial leadership, supporting people-to-people diplomacy and promoting multilateral cooperation.
