On June 3, 2023, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet Minh, Chairwoman of WeLead, and Ms. Nguyen Thi Quynh Phuong, Vice Chairwoman of WeLead, attended the Vietnamese Women's Forum in Europe themed "Industry 4.0: Preserving Vietnamese Values and Integration." The event was organized by the Vietnamese Women's Association in Hungary and took place at the Hungarian National Assembly building.
This event marked the first time that a Vietnamese community event was held at the highest legislative institution of the host country, Hungary, in Europe. The event saw the presence and speeches of the Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the Hungarian National Assembly, Mátrai Márta, Ms. Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh - Central Committee Member of the Party, Former Vice President of Vietnam, alongside numerous delegates from Vietnam and representatives of associations from various countries in Europe. The forum attracted 250 delegates from 21 countries.
The forum was vibrant with 12 presentations and passionate opinions from representatives of the Vietnamese Women's Union, the Vietnamese Red Cross Society, WeLead, and more. The presentations emphasized the roles of Vietnamese women in the modern era: the sense of responsibility towards the community, preserving and promoting the essence of Vietnamese culture, women's leadership in science and technology, intergenerational connectivity, and more. Particularly inspiring was the speech by WeLead's Chairwoman, highlighting the potential of Vietnamese women in various fields, including the economy. The role of women entrepreneurs in the economy, their contribution to solving social issues, and community engagement were discussed. She encouraged Vietnamese women to have confidence in asserting their positions.
The Vietnamese Women's Forum in Europe also launched the program "Mothers Supporting Orphans," initiated by the Vietnamese Women's Union. During the forum, 56 orphaned children received support from participating organizations, associations, and individuals. WeLead's Chairwoman extended her support by contributing $1,000 to this program.
The inaugural Vietnamese Women's Forum in Europe was a resounding success, establishing a robust foundation for connectivity, support, and collaboration among Vietnamese women in European countries. This momentum is expected to extend to other nations, contributing to the development of the Vietnamese women's community abroad, guided by the spirit of "Confidence, Dynamism, Creativity, and Connectivity."
