WeLead launched the program "Enhancing Mental Health Quality for Female Entrepreneurs Towards Sustainable Development"

On the morning of August 12, 2024, at the National Assembly Guesthouse HCMC, 165 Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street, the Network of trailblazing Women Leaders WELEAD (WeLead) launched the program "Enhancing Mental Health Quality for Female Entrepreneurs Towards Sustainable Development" in collaboration with IPPG (Imex Pan Pacific Group). The program's first activity was a discussion panel titled "Managing Emotions Under Pressure and Crisis in Life" featuring an opening keynote by Dr. Tran Duy Tam, a Specialist in Neurology and Psychiatry at the Ho Chi Minh City Mental Hospital. Dr. Tam's speech covered the topic "Overview of Mental Health in Vietnam: Common Emotional Disorders Among Women and Female Entrepreneurs, and Effective Prevention Methods." His address provided valuable expertise, helping female entrepreneurs understand the importance of mental health, and ways to recognize, accept, transform, and treat emotional disorders.

The panel discussion included the participation of psychologist Dr. Ly Thi Mai, Dr. Tran Duy Tam, and was moderated by Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet Minh, Chairwoman of WeLead. The session was lively, with in-depth knowledge sharing and practical experiences in counseling, therapy, and treatment from the speakers. Numerous "sharp questions" from the moderator were adeptly answered by the speakers, meeting the expectations and satisfaction of the attending delegates. The delegates also posed many questions to the speakers about distinguishing between "stress" and depression levels of emotional disorders, prevention methods, and how to encourage workers to openly share their mental health issues. The speakers provided deep, precise answers, helping the delegates gain a profound understanding, and expressed a desire for the organizers to continue hosting similar programs, including providing counseling to support female entrepreneurs not only in enhancing their own knowledge but also in implementing emotional disorder prevention policies for employees within their businesses.

The program concluded with a sense of joy and regret among the delegates. Representatives of female entrepreneurs from Ho Chi Minh City, Vung Tau, and Ben Tre requested that WeLead organize similar events in their localities in the near future to help female entrepreneurs proactively care for their mental health and overcome this challenging economic period.
