Over the years, Vietnam has consistently participated in the GSW — Davos for Women, which is held on a rotational basis across continents. The attendance and opening remarks by Vietnam’s Vice Presidents over various terms have left a significant impression on the Summit and the international community, highlighting Vietnam’s resilience, creativity, equality, and intellect.
Vietnamese business delegations have been present at the GSW for 24 years, playing an important role in the Summit’s 35-year journey.
This year, the Vietnamese delegation included 65 members traveling from Vietnam and across Europe, gathering in the magnificent, historic capital of Berlin. The Chairwoman of WeLead - Ms Nguyen Thi Tuyet Minh coordinated with GSW partners, as well as representatives from Kazakhstan and the Philippines, to organize a Business Networking Conference on the morning of July 3, 2025, just before the official Summit. The event was attended by 120 enterprises from Vietnam, Kazakhstan, and the Philippines and took place at the JW Marriott Hotel Berlin, the venue for the GSW. In her opening address, Ms. Irene Natividad, Chair of the Global Summit of Women, highlighted the activities of the Vietnamese delegation as a proud testament to GSW’s mission of fostering global connections.
This year’s Summit attracted nearly 1,000 delegates from over 60 countries and territories. Many important and engaging topics were discussed in depth, candidly and energetically, including issues related to the environment, climate change, and strategies for prevention and response.
The participation of women in leadership remained a key topic — while progress has been made, it continues to require greater attention due to its slow pace of growth, especially given the increasingly high educational attainment of women and how technology now effectively supports them in balancing life and work.
The Men’s Leadership Forum also addressed the role of women in leadership, exploring sustainable development for businesses through inclusive human resource policies. Meanwhile, the Youth Forum — the future of the world — underscored the critical role of youth in shaping the future, emphasizing sustainable development strategies and the importance of generational transition as a priority in the current era.
